It wasn't until the Gala had calmed down as it got later that Twilight had had enough of the noise and overwhelming company and decided to step out onto the balcony. Of course, Twilight spent most of her time greeting ponies, and in her little bit of off time, she introduced Flash to her friends and they got to have a short dance, but other than that, the Gala was same old same old. It was a little while of this friendly, Leader to Co-Leader relationship before Flash finally had the courage to casually ask Twilight out to the Grand Galloping Gala, to which Twilight, amused, flattered, and tempted, agreed to. So, The two had always been interested and pulled to eachother but never really got to talk with eachother as Twilight could only really smile and wave at him before being pulled away to important events, especially after he was transferred to Canterlot to be a lieutenant for the Canterlot Guard.īut after Twilight succeeded Celestia and Luna's thrones and became ruler, she was able to have more contact and communication inside her Royal Guard, and Flash became Captain before the new shift in power and with him as Captain, he was always discussing, planning, and strategizing alongside Twilight and attending important meetings.Ī friendship between the leader and her Guard Captain is important, so Twilight was more than happy to comply to it.
